Design + Build Support Hour
Design + Build Support is for authors who need clean, professional layouts and functional pages—without turning it into a huge project. Choose the tier that matches how much refinement, decision-making, and technical setup you need, book 1+ hours, and send your links/assets.
This service covers book formatting, simple print assets, and website implementation. If you’re unsure which tier fits, choose Light (Implementation)—I’ll confirm tier fit before I start.
Not included: book covers, logos, typography art, full brand identity packages, custom backend development (APIs/PHP/SQL), or large multi-page website builds without a defined scope (Project Request).

Choose your tier
1) Light Design + Build (Implementation)
Best for: execution inside an existing setup (you’re directing; I’m building).
Includes
Books: simple ebook/print interiors, basic layouts, clean formatting, export-ready files
PoD setup: preparing files for print-on-demand services (assuming text/assets are ready)
Print assets: bookmarks and simple print pieces when artwork/assets are already provided
Web: installing templates, configuring settings, applying your provided structure/content, basic styling inside the existing theme
Not included at this tier
Covers, logos, typography art, brand identity work
“Make it premium / modern / on-brand” decisions
Rebuilding page structure or concepting new layouts
Rule of thumb: If you already know what you want and just need it executed cleanly, this tier fits.
2) Moderate Design + Build (Refinement)
Best for: upgrades that require more care, consistency, and layout judgment without rebuilding everything.
Includes
Books: image-rich ebooks (regular images), better control of spacing, consistent styling, multi-device considerations
Print assets: templated sets (e.g., quote/vision cards) when the style is consistent across a set
Web: refinement within an existing theme—improving global elements (header/footer/navigation), spacing, hierarchy, section rhythm, and consistency
May require a brief
If the work involves many assets, many variations, or multiple themes (e.g., dozens of unique cards), I’ll request a short project brief so scope stays predictable.
Rule of thumb: If it needs taste + consistency (but not a full overhaul), this tier fits.
3) Heavy Brand-Aligned Build + Integrations (Expert Implementation)
Brand-aligned = built to match your existing brand and audience (not logo/identity creation).
Best for: premium builds and overhauls where the site or asset must work as a complete experience not just look good.
Includes
Web: major overhaul using a template as a baseline (new structure, new layout logic, repurposing templates to meet specific requirements)
Integrations: ecommerce/payment setup and checkout readiness (within platform limits), booking/scheduling setup, and connecting third-party tools where needed (email platform, print-on-demand storefront links, membership tools, etc.)
Books / publications: highly visual print layouts (magazine/eZine/PDF publications, glossy print-ready design), custom page systems, and advanced layout decisions
Expert guidance: I’ll push back on choices that may confuse or undermine your audience and recommend stronger alternatives
Not included
Full marketing strategy (positioning/offer/funnel architecture) unless booked separately
Deep workflow engineering across multiple systems (that’s Systems + Automation)
Custom backend development (APIs/PHP/SQL)
Rule of thumb: If it’s “redo this properly” or “make it function end-to-end,” this tier fits.
How prepaid hours work
These services are sold by the hour, so you can choose what fits your budget and move a project forward in steps.
Most work takes more than one hour to complete end-to-end. In many cases, one hour covers a meaningful milestone (setup, first draft, first pass, or one key improvement), not the entire finished project.
I’ll work in clear milestones and confirm what can realistically be done within the hours you’ve purchased.
Focus rule (one project at a time)
To keep results clear and progress visible, each order is applied to one primary project/focus at a time (one website, one book, one workflow, or one defined deliverable). If you have multiple projects, we’ll tackle them in order, milestone by milestone.
What I need from you (all tiers)
Links (website / doc / folder)
Your assets (copy, images, brand references)
What you want done in this block (or your goal)
Any constraints (deadline, platform limitations, must-keep elements)
Access note: For web implementation, you may need to add me as an admin/collaborator or provide access to the relevant tools. For security reasons, anything involving identity verification or banking setup must be completed by you.
Not included (all tiers)
Book covers, logo design, typography art, full brand identity packages
Custom backend development (APIs, PHP, SQL) or bespoke software builds
Large multi-page websites or multi-deliverable design programs without a defined scope (use Project Request)
Tier fit policy: If your request doesn’t match the tier selected, I’ll tell you before proceeding and recommend the correct tier or a project quote.
Before I begin, I’ll confirm the milestone for this block (what ‘done’ means for the hours purchased).
How it works
Purchase 1+ hours and select your tier
Submit your links/assets and what you need (form after purchase)
I confirm scope + tier fit
I complete the work and send a brief summary of what changed
If follow-up work is needed, you can book additional hours or submit a Project Request
Availability & scheduling
I offer a limited number of paid hours each month. When you purchase, you’re reserving time in my work queue.
Queue varies: most requests are started within 2–4 weeks, but during busy periods it can be up to 12 weeks.
If you have a target date, add it to your notes at checkout. I’ll confirm what’s realistic once I review your request.
If this month’s hours are sold out, you can join the Priority Openings List to get first access when new hours are released.
After purchase, I’ll email you within 1 business day to confirm your place in the queue and confirm I have what I need to start.
Rush deadlines
Rush deadlines are handled through Project Requests only.
