Strategic Support Services
For the decisions, plans, audits, and research that need clear thinking before you spend time, money, or energy moving in the wrong direction.
Strategic support is for authors and creative business owners who need help clarifying what to do next, who they are trying to reach, how to position the work, or how to plan a launch, campaign, offer, or platform decision.
This is not vague brainstorming. The goal is to turn scattered ideas, competing options, or unclear priorities into a practical direction you can act on.
You have too many possible directions and need help deciding what matters next
You are preparing for a launch, campaign, offer, or website change and want a clearer plan before moving forward
You need to understand your audience, market, positioning, or message before spending more time or money
You want an audit, review, or outside perspective on what is working, what is unclear, and what needs attention
You are trying to reduce wasted effort, scattered marketing, or guesswork before committing to the next step
You need practical recommendations, not vague brainstorming
This is useful when…
Strategic support may include:
Website, platform, or marketing audits
Launch, pre-launch, and post-launch planning
Marketing campaign planning across months, quarters, or the year
Target audience, reader, client, or market clarification
Offer positioning and messaging direction
Ad planning, campaign structure, and audience recommendations
Brand, genre, cover, or market research
Sales page, landing page, or funnel review
Prioritizing what to fix, build, test, or improve next
Practical recommendations before a larger project begins
Best Fit
This is the “please help me think this through before I act” service.
Strategic Support works best when you need research, planning, prioritization, or expert perspective before committing to a campaign, launch, offer, website direction, audience, or business decision.
Not A Good Fit
This is not the “just do the task for me” service.
If the decision has already been made and you simply need content updated, tools connected, or a page built, Admin, Design + Build, or Systems + Automation may be the better fit.
What I Actually Do
Audit
I review the page, platform, offer, campaign, market, or materials against best practices, technical knowledge, and real-world experience to identify what is working, what is unclear, and what needs attention.
Clarify
I help reduce complexity by narrowing scattered ideas, competing priorities, or unclear options into a smaller set of practical directions.
Plan
I turn the chosen direction into recommended steps, priorities, campaign stages, launch plans, or next actions that can move the work toward the desired end point.
How It Works
1
Review the service and decide whether Strategic Support fits the task you want to hand off.
2
Join the Open for Work Notice List and select Strategic Support as an area of interest.
3
When Strategic support hours open, I’ll send booking details to the relevant notice group first.
4
If the available slot fits your timing and budget, you can book prepaid hours and submit one clear focus for the time.
What to Have Ready
Strategic Support works best when there is a decision, direction, campaign, launch, audit, or planning question to focus on. Before booking, it helps to have:
the page, platform, offer, campaign, book, brand, or materials you want reviewed
a short description of what you are trying to improve, decide, launch, or understand
any current goals, deadlines, audience notes, budget limits, or known constraints
examples of what you have already tried, considered, or ruled out
any relevant links, screenshots, drafts, analytics, ad results, campaign notes, or past decisions
one main strategic question or planning focus for the booked time
You do not need to have the answer before booking. The goal is to give me enough context to audit the situation, clarify the strongest options, and recommend practical next steps.
Strategic Support is for audit, research, planning, clarification, and recommendations. It is not execution work. I can usually complete strategic work from the information, links, materials, and central question you provide. Meeting time is not included by default.
If you want to discuss the findings in more detail, talk through options, or ask follow-up questions beyond what is included in the written summary or report, additional booked time is required, with a minimum of one extra hour.
If you want me to execute part of the strategy, such as creating campaign assets, improving a website, building a landing page, setting up automations, or updating systems - that work should be booked under the relevant service category.
Strategic Support helps clarify what should happen next and why. The implementation can happen separately through Admin Support, Design + Build, Systems + Automation, or a Project Inquiry, depending on the work involved.
Service Boundaries
Strategic Support is booked by prepaid hours when work slots are available. You’ll choose the number of hours you want to book for one clear audit, planning question, campaign, launch, offer, platform, or strategic focus. I’ll use the booked time to review the relevant materials, assess the situation, clarify the strongest options, and provide a written summary or report with practical recommendations.
If the strategic work needs more time than booked, I’ll complete as much focused progress as the booked time allows and send a summary of what was reviewed, what was found, and what may need further attention.
Progress still counts, even when the full question cannot be completely resolved in one block. A focused audit, clarified direction, or smaller set of stronger options can still save time, reduce wasted effort, and make the next decision easier.
Booking links are released through the Open for Work Notice List when Strategic Support hours open.

FAQs
Can I book one hour?
Yes. One hour can be useful for a small, clear task. For larger strategic research, one hour may only move the first piece forward.
What happens if the work takes longer than booked?
I’ll complete as much focused progress as the booked time allows and send a summary of what was done, what changed, and what may need attention next.
Do meetings count as booked time?
Yes. Strategic Support is designed to work from the information, links, materials, and central question you provide. Meeting time is not included by default. If you want to discuss the findings, ask follow-up questions, or talk through options in more detail, please book at least one additional hour.
Can I use Strategic Support for more than one task?
Only if the tasks are closely related and fit within one clear focus. If you have several unrelated tasks, they may need to be split into separate bookings.
What if I’m not sure this is the right service?
If the work needs research, strategy, design decisions, troubleshooting, or planning before it can be done, another service tier may be a better fit.
Do you offer rush work?
Rush work is handled through Project Inquiry only. Urgent work needs a defined scope, timeline, and quote before it can be scheduled.
Can you also execute the strategy?
Yes, but execution is booked separately. If you want me to create design assets, improve a website, build a landing page, set up automations, update systems, or complete admin work based on the strategy, that should be booked under the relevant service category.
