Design + Build Support Services

Best Fit

This is the “please make this work better, look better, or function properly” service.

Design + Build Support works best when there is a specific page, asset, layout, website section, publication, or build milestone that needs technical skill, design judgment, implementation, refinement, or brand-aligned execution.

Not A Good Fit

This is not the “create an entire brand from scratch” service.

If the work needs a full brand identity, logo design, book cover design, custom backend development, deep workflow engineering, or a large multi-page website without a defined scope, another service category or Project Inquiry may be the better fit.

Design + Build Support Hour
from US$50.00

Design + Build Support is for the pages, layouts, assets, website pieces, and platform tasks that need more than a simple update.

This service is for authors and creative business owners who need practical implementation, layout refinement, visual polish, troubleshooting, or brand-aligned build work without turning every request into a full custom project.

Booked Design + Build hours are used for one clear design or build focus. Depending on the work involved, the booking may fall under Light Design + Build, Moderate Design + Build, or Heavy Brand-Aligned Build + Integrations.

If the task is mostly placing, updating, organizing, checking, or formatting prepared material, Admin Support may be the better fit. If the task changes how something looks, functions, connects, or behaves, it usually belongs in Design + Build.

Your Booking Options

Light Design + Build

Implementation

For clear updates, setup tasks, and small improvements inside an existing design or platform.

Light Design + Build is best when you already know what you want changed and need someone with the right technical or design skills to implement it cleanly.

This may include changing a section, adjusting styling, connecting a tool, adding a mailing list signup, applying provided content, or making a defined improvement inside an existing setup.

Moderate Design + Build

Refinement

For broken, unclear, inconsistent, or underperforming pieces that need troubleshooting, layout judgment, and practical improvement.

Moderate Design + Build is best when the existing setup is mostly there, but part of it needs to be reworked, refined, researched, or improved to support the client experience, reader journey, website performance, or campaign goal.

This may include improving page layouts, building a new content type or page structure, refining user flow, improving visual hierarchy, optimizing a section for usability, preparing campaign assets, or fixing design problems that require more than simple implementation.

Heavy Brand-Aligned Build + Integrations

Expert Implementation

For larger overhauls, deeper redesigns, and complex build work where the finished result needs to function as a complete experience.

Heavy Design + Build is best when the existing website, page, publication, or setup needs to be rebuilt, restructured, optimized, or connected with stronger attention to brand alignment, user experience, SEO, mobile responsiveness, performance, and platform limits.

This may include major website redesigns, template repurposing, ecommerce or booking setup, connected third-party tools, brand-aligned page systems, responsive layouts, and expert implementation that improves both how the work looks and how it functions.

What Happens After Booking

1

Book the Design + Build support option that best fits your timing, budget, and one clear design or build focus.

2

At checkout, you’ll complete a short booking form with the key information I need: your main focus, relevant links, files, assets, access notes, instructions, examples, constraints, and target date if you have one.

3

I’ll email you within 1 business day to confirm your place in the queue and let you know whether I have what I need to start.

4

If anything important is missing, I may follow up by email with additional questions before the work begins.

5

I’ll use the booked time to complete as much focused design, build, refinement, troubleshooting, or implementation work as the time allows.

6

After the work is complete, I’ll send a summary of what was built, changed, refined, tested, or recommended next.

Availability + Scheduling

Design + Build Support is booked into a work queue. Most requests are started within 2–4 weeks, but during busy periods the queue may be up to 12 weeks.

If you have a target date, add it to your notes at checkout. I’ll confirm what is realistic once I review your request.

Once the available Design + Build hours are fully booked, this service will close until the next availability notice.

Design + Build Support is for focused implementation, refinement, troubleshooting, and brand-aligned build work. It is not a full brand identity service or an open-ended redesign.

Design + Build begins where Admin Support stops. Admin Support is usually for prepared content, formatting, uploads, updates, and data-entry-style tasks. Design + Build is for work that requires technical setup, layout judgment, code changes, platform knowledge, visual design skill, tool connections, or understanding how one piece of information supports another part of the system.

This work can include design judgment, technical setup, troubleshooting, layout refinement, visual assets, page builds, formatting, and platform-based implementation. It does not include logo design, full brand identity creation, custom back-end development, custom-coded software, or large multi-page website builds without a defined scope.

If the work needs strategic planning, audience research, campaign direction, or a decision about what should be built before implementation begins, Strategic Support may be the better first step.

If the work needs complex workflow mapping, automation logic, email routing, tags, forms, or connected operational systems, Systems + Automation may be the better fit.

Meetings and extended discussion are not included by default. If you want to talk through the work before I begin, review options together, or discuss changes beyond the information provided, please allow at least one additional booked hour.

Pricing & Booking

Design + Build Support is booked by prepaid hours when work slots are available. You’ll choose the number of hours you want to book for one clear design or build focus. Depending on the work involved, the booking may fall under Light Design + Build, Moderate Design + Build, or Heavy Brand-Aligned Build + Integrations.

Light Design + Build is for defined implementation inside an existing setup.

Moderate Design + Build is for refinement, troubleshooting, layout improvement, visual assets, or larger changes to existing pages, sections, or materials.

Heavy Brand-Aligned Build + Integrations is for deeper rebuilds, redesigns, integrations, and expert implementation where the finished work needs stronger attention to brand alignment, user experience, responsiveness, SEO, performance, and connected tools.

If the work needs more time than booked, I’ll complete as much focused progress as the time allows and send a summary of what was built, changed, refined, tested, or recommended next.

Progress still counts, even when the whole build is not finished in one block. A cleaned-up layout, improved section, connected tool, formatted asset, or clearer page structure can still make the next step easier and the finished result stronger.

Available blocks reflect the time currently open for this booking period. Once the available hours are booked, Design + Build Support will close until the next notice.

FAQs

What should I include at checkout?

Include one clear design or build focus.

It helps to include the page, platform, file, asset, website, document, or tool involved, along with relevant links, copy, images, brand references, examples, access notes, deadlines, and any must-keep requirements.

When will the work start?

Most Design + Build requests are started within 2–4 weeks, but during busy periods the queue may be up to 12 weeks.

If you have a target date, include it in your notes at checkout. I’ll confirm what is realistic once I review your request.

What happens if the work takes longer than booked?

I’ll complete as much focused progress as the booked time allows.

Afterward, I’ll send a summary of what was built, changed, refined, tested, or recommended next. You can book more time later if you want to continue.

Can I book one hour?

Yes. One hour can be useful for a small, defined implementation task, a simple styling change, a contained platform setup step, or the first piece of a larger design/build milestone.

Larger refinements, troubleshooting, page builds, visual assets, integrations, or redesign work usually need more time.

What happens after I book?

After booking, I’ll email you within 1 business day to confirm your place in the queue and let you know whether I have what I need to start.

If anything important is missing from your checkout form, I may ask for links, files, assets, access notes, examples, constraints, or clarification before the work begins.

How do I know if this is Admin Support or Design + Build?

Admin Support is best for data-entry-style work: placing, updating, organizing, checking, or formatting prepared material.

Design + Build is for work that changes how something looks, functions, connects, or behaves. That includes layout changes, troubleshooting, styling decisions, platform setup, tool connections, code adjustments, or graphic edits beyond basic resizing.

Can you design something from scratch?

Sometimes, if the scope is clear and the work fits the booked service level.

Design + Build can include page builds, layout design, campaign assets, publication formatting, template refinement, and brand-aligned implementation. It does not include full brand identity creation, logo design, book cover design, or large undefined redesigns.

What if I choose the wrong Design + Build level?

If the booking is not the right level for the work described, I’ll let you know before starting.

Depending on the situation, I may recommend a different service tier, suggest booking additional time, or explain what can reasonably be completed within the booked hours.

Can you fix something that is broken?

Yes, if the issue fits Design + Build and the platform allows it.

Troubleshooting may involve reviewing the setup, identifying what is causing the problem, researching platform limits, testing possible fixes, and implementing the best available solution within the booked time.

Do I need to give you account access?

Only if the work requires it.

For website, design, shop, booking, newsletter, or platform work, you may need to add me as a collaborator, temporary user, or admin. Please do not send passwords through unsecured messages.

Will you create accounts or handle payment settings for me?

No. I do not create or link financial accounts, handle banking information, complete identity verification, or manage payment processor setup on your behalf.

I can work inside the relevant platform once your account is already created and the necessary access is provided.

Do meetings count as booked time?

Yes. Design + Build Support is designed for clear hand-off tasks.

If you want to talk through the work before I begin, review options together, or discuss changes beyond the information provided, please book at least one additional hour.
